Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Monitor cash flow and report financial variances.
  • Maintain accurate filing and documentation of financial records.

 

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (or as required by the organization).
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Professional certification (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
